Little Blog On The Prairie.
Richardton, North Dakota is a place that is seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The vast space of the Dakota Prairie wraps it’s arms around this small community set along the Missouri Slope Upland, about 75 miles west of Bismarck. But, is this really the middle of nowhere? Quite the contrary! Sacred Heart Monastery, located just on the edge of town is most definitely somewhere. Somewhere very special.
Home to about 30 Sisters, the Monastery is known for their quiet, contemplative, prairie lifestyle. They have a stable of Llamas in the back and they maintain the State’s first-ever wind-generators. The Sisters are known for their legendary Benedictine hospitality, which says, ‘Welcome! Come visit!’ But not everyone can visit. Not everyone will get a chance to experience the Prairie first-hand with the Sisters of Sacred Heart. So how do you bring this place to the world? You take it online of course. And that’s exactly what the Sisters at Sacred Heart Monastery are doing, with a brand new website by ZUZUGroup. The site just launched this week. Take a look for yourself: www.sacredheartmonastery.com. And be sure to check out Sister Harriet's Blog!

Will we see you at NCNWR in September '08?
September 16-20, 2008 in Cincinnati, Ohio
We'll be there. Will you?
The Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange in California have a NEW WEBSITE!
The site reflects their current brand and is equipped with a Content Management System (CMS). A fancy, yet somewhat understandable title for a very handy website feature that allows the site's Administrator to easily update/manage content (photos, text, news, etc) through their web browser.
There are so many wonderful aspects to having a CMS attached to your site.
Here are just a few:
- No need for special software
- Very little training involved. Easy to learn.
- Content stays fresh and updated.
- Website can be updated from any computer connected to the internet
"LOVE IT!"
- Director of Communications, Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange
If you have a website that you find increasingly difficult to maintain. If updating your website requires in-house staff with special skills, or if you want the content of your site to stay more fresh and relevant, then you may want to consider a CMS.
We enjoyed getting to know and work with the staff at the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange on this project, and we're sort of sad to see it come to an end!
